C. LUVA's Biography
Chris Love is a rapper from Fort Worth, Texas, United States. He is best known by his stage name, C. Luva who first exploded on the rap scene in 2000 with his fast rhymes, harmonious choruses, ominous lyrics, and hood attitude, no one knew whether this uncanny Texas rapper was for real or if he was a novelty success. After all, at this point in time, many rappers were popping up from small and big labels and not all at a commercial level. He is known for his ability to change the tempo and rhyme scheme of his rapping within a single song, and for the rapid fast, enunciated, and distinct quality of his delivery and voice. Due to his rapid-fire pace of delivery, he was listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's fastest rapper in 1999 and six years later it was broken, yet he is waiting for his career to flourish before breaking it again to not be placed in a gimmick rapper category. In these respects, he has been compared to Twista and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. He is regarded by many hip-hop fans as one of the most lyrically talented emcees in the South, and has publicly stated that his aim is to prove that the South can produce quality lyricists. As C. Luva leap-frogged local success with their hometown record label, Swoll Records yet instantly rising to the top of the charts with his summer album "Crunkdafied." By this time with a number of distractions, C. Luva vowed to not let his career fail before it even started. So after years of preparation and perfecting his unique style, C. Luva will be going after the mainstream in 2007 and not only wants to debut at number one but wants to break 50 Cent's first album total. While other rappers struggle to break away from the cliches like Dem Franchize Boyz, Nelly, Lil Wayne, Bow Wow, and LL Cool J, C. Luva is one of the few rappers able to carve out his own stylistic niche, an inimitable myriad of urban sounds with a strong gangsta personification. Yet following the unprecedented success of Crunkdafied, the grind has just begun for C. Luva and never lets down your expectations on any track. C. Luva will remain a vital ingredient for the hip-hop as few are able to duplicate his signature style. Visualized as another underground Texan rapper, C. Luva doesn't have good probability of ever being a successful rapper until UGK put Houston on the rap map followed by Mike Jones, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, and Chamillionaire so in 2008 watch C. Luva to leave the unsigned hype and enter the mainstream.
