Ben G was born Benjamin Araujo on March 17, 1983 in the small town of San Francisco de Macoris in the Dominican Republic . The youngest of three, Ben G was interested in music from a very young age. As a boy in the Dominican Republic , Ben G was influenced with the reggae sounds he heard in the streets. In January of 1990, he arrived in the United States . Here he took on many jobs in supermarkets and party supply shops. He was able to squeeze reggae into his schedule between school and work. Early on he joined a group of street singers and performed in schools and talent shows all over the Bronx .
In late 2002, Ben G realized that he had to take matters into his own hands to get his solo career off the ground. With hard work and perseverance, Ben G worked to create a place where he can record his own songs and lay down all the beats that for years have been trapped in his head. After months of work and construction, Ben G finally completed the creation of 424 Studios. With 424 up and running, Ben G finally had the platform he needed to get to work on his career and establishing a name for himself.
With the massive success of 424, Ben G has been able to establish himself as one of the top music producers in the industry. He has worked producing beats for an extensive amount of artist from R&B to Hip Hop and Reggeaton. Now Ben G is ready to introduce the world his first production, “50-Fifty”.
