Just try not to smile as you listen to the fresh indie-rock sound of The Liking Strikes. Founded by the gifted vocalist and songwriter, Lacey Wright and the talented instrumentalist and composer Carter Stewart, the group’s thoughtful lyrics and upbeat musical style is winning over fans nationwide.
The Liking Strikes have just released their first self-titled EP, with the release of their full-length album slated for early 2009. More about the songs on the EP. . .
Their eclectic sound is influenced by wide-ranging artists such as The Beatles, Patty Griffin, The Cure, Weezer, and The Rocket Summer. Lacey and Carter’s passion for music is contagious, especially when they are performing live and they have built up quite a following as a result of their first tour.
When not performing and recording music, Lacey and Carter can be found hanging out with their families and spoiling their pets Soda and Cali.
